Feast

1993

Edition #4 The print is broken up by three rectangular shapes. Reading from left to right, the first shape comprises of interchanging vertically stacked red and blue boxes with 'x's over each. In the second rectangular shape positioned in the upper section of the print, three men in military uniform dining together. Their shape is stylized, similar to the neo-expressionist works of the American painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. The men disregard the knife and fork given to them preferring to eat with their hands and there is spilt food all over the white tale cloth. The third and largest rectangular shape presents an overhead view of what is left of their meal. What remains is a carcass with an arrow through one eye on a textured plate.
