Boss Crab

"Boss Crab" is a mixed media piece, featuring five speckled blue & red crabs against a deep brown background. Armstrong's attention to detailed patterns and textures, to illuminate the shells of the crabs and their environment with crab holes, as well as the use of vernacular in the title "boss crab", reflects her visual inquiries into folk arts.
